MDFW - The Mystery Dungeon Tree of Information.
The Wii Virtual Console (Japanese: Wiiバーチャルコンソール) was a platform for the digital distribution of games previously published on older hardware to the Wii through official emulation. Titles were officially bought and downloaded from the Wii Shop Channel, and installed to the console's internal memory or, following an eventual system update, an external SD card, although some internal memory still needed to be free in order to play the game, if it was installed externally. Although the platform was operated by Nintendo, it also featured games from hardware made by other companies. It is similar to the WiiWare platform, which was instead dedicated to digital Wii games. It was the first iteration of Nintendo's Virtual Console series of platforms.
