Rank (Japanese: ランク, Rank) is intended to represent the status and reputation of a Team in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. The rank is tied to a point system, where points are obtained by completing missions. Gameplay-wise, it acts as a method of tracking the player's progress. Increasing the rank may result in visible changes to the design of the Team Badge. It made its first appearance in 
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team in 2005.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky - Beyond Time & Darkness, Team PokéPals' badge is shown changing colors to match the team's rank during their adventures.

Manga
In the manga Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team, Mudkip tells Ginji that Alakazam's team is the Gold Rank, the highest level.
