The Baby Tank (Japanese: コドモ戦車) Monster Family is a recurring group of two monsters in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995, making it one of the Original Monster Families. Its most recent appearance was in

The Baby Tank Family consists of:
- Baby Tank (Japanese: コドモ戦車)
- Mini Tank (Japanese: ちびタンク)
Biography
Characteristics
The Baby Tank Family is part of a unique leveling system in the Shiren the Wanderer series. They're leveled up from the Bowboy Family, and level into the Popster Tank Family. They're similar in appearance to the Boy Cart Family, which also levels into the Popster Tank Family, however, they have different English and Japanese names, that family has 4 levels instead of 2, and they're not the only other family to level up into the Popster Tank Family. The other is the Sabotank Family.
- Bowboy Family → Baby Tank Family → Popster Tank Family
- Normal: Bowboy (Lv. 1) → Crossbowboy (Lv. 2) → Baby Tank (Lv. 1) → Mini Tank (Lv. 2) → Popster Tank (Lv. 1) → Dadster Tank (Lv. 2) → Oldster Tank (Lv. 3) → Cranky Tank (Lv. 4)
The Cranky Tank is exclusive to the Nintendo DS and Smartphone releases of Shiren 1.
- Normal: Bowboy (Lv. 1) → Crossbowboy (Lv. 2) → Baby Tank (Lv. 1) → Mini Tank (Lv. 2) → Popster Tank (Lv. 1) → Dadster Tank (Lv. 2) → Oldster Tank (Lv. 3) → Cranky Tank (Lv. 4)
- Altered: Bowboy (Lv. 1) → Baby Tank (Lv. 2) → Popster Tank (Lv. 3) → Oldster Tank (Lv. 4)
- Normal: Bowboy (Lv. 1) → Crossbowboy (Lv. 2) → Baby Tank (Lv. 1) → Mini Tank (Lv. 2) → Popster Tank (Lv. 1) → Dadster Tank (Lv. 2) → Grizzled Tank (Lv. 3) → Oldster Tank (Lv. 4)
The Grizzled Tank became the level 3 monster after Shiren 1 DS. It's used in Magic Castle DS, Shiren 3 Wii, Shiren 4, and Shiren 5. The prior level 3 monster was made the level 4 monster and the Shiren 1 DS/SP level 4 monster hasn't been seen in any other games.
