The Chow (Japanese: タベラレルー) Monster Family is a recurring group of four monsters in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Nintendo 64 Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion in (2000), making it part of the Third Batch of Monster Families(NT) - This name was created by editors to describe something lacking a name.. Its most recent appearance was in Nintendo Switch/Steam Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island in 2024.

The Chow Family consists of:

  1. Chow (Japanese: タベラレルー)
  2. Snacky (Japanese: クダカレルー)
  3. Munchy (Japanese: トカサレルー)
  4. Mealy (Japanese: トリコマレルー)

A related additional family includes the Plump Chow monster family that first appeared in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 4 - The Eye of God and the Devil's Navel in 2010.
