The Landmine Trap (Japanese: 地雷のワナ) is a Trap in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Effect

When a Landmine Trap is triggered, the explosion not only affects the entity that triggered the trap, but the explosion also damages those within a 1 tile radius. Within this radius, all Items and walls will be destroyed.

Landmine Traps normally deal damage equal to half of Shiren's current HP. At 1 HP Shiren will take 1 damage and be killed.

It should be noted that Shiren is considered a Trap Master when transformed as a Mecharoid Family Monster.

Damage dealt to Shiren assumes that a Shield without a Fusion Shiren 1 DS - Shield Rune Star.png is equipped.

With a Blast Seal Shield:

Damage leaving Shiren at 1/2 current HP becomes Damage equal to a quarter of current HP.

Number of Uses

A naturally generated Landmine Trap can be triggered infinite times, though a trap placed down as a Trap Master will disappear after 1 - 17 uses by Monsters.

When successfully throwing a Landmine Trap at an entity, it will be used and disappear.

Adventure Log Entries

  • Adventure Log entry #42 requires the player to be 'Defeated by a Landmine Trap'.
  • Adventure Log Entry #50 'Defeated by an explosion' is not satisfied by being defeated by a Landmine Trap.
