Pushing is a game mechanic in Nintendo 3DS Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon that allows the player to push a Pokémon in a direction in dungeons by walking towards them.

To push a party member or ally, the player simply needs to walk towards them in the desired direction, while for enemies, the player needs to hold B while walking towards them. Large Pokémon can't be pushed. Pokémon can't be pushed if they're against a wall with no free tiles nearby, or when under certain Status Conditions. Multiple allies and party members can be pushed at once, as each one pushes the next ally or party member in the desired direction. The leader can push enemies, and have enemies push other party members or allies in that direction; however, if the player pushes a party member or ally in the direction of an enemy, they won't push the enemy. Every time the player pushes Pokémon, the leader's belly decreases by 0.56.
