Masato Kato (Japanese: 加藤 正人), born March 23, 1963, is a video game story writer for the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series.
Besides his works in the Mystery Dungeon franchise, he is known as a freelance writer known for working on numerous popular franchises published by Square Enix, such as in the Final Fantasy franchise, Chrono Trigger, and Xenogears.
