Crimson Caves (Japanese: 紅蓮の洞窟) is a side-dungeon in  Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2. It is unlocked after finishing the ninth dungeon, Ancient Circuitry and accepting the quest Challenge the Legendary Red Dragon!. This dungeon must be completed along with Glacial Cave and Thunderous Valley to unlock the eleventh dungeon, Valley of Lament.

Dungeon information

This dungeon has 24 floors, the last floor being that of the boss and the geomagnetic pole allowing to return to Oberfay. The power of the monsters increases from floor 3 and floor 6. The player can build forts up to floor 22 and it is possible to build 6 forts in this dungeon.

From floor 7 to 18 and on floor 23, there is lava. This lava inflicts damage to party members and monsters at every turn they are on it. The lava also destroys items that fall on it, which can be dangerous if there is a Disarm Trap next to lava, because the equipment unequipped by this trap can fall in lava.
