The Top Menu (Japanese: トップメニュ, Top Menu) is the first menu the player sees every time  Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness is launched. The Top Menu opens right after the title screen.

	Drowzee	Defeat Drowzee.
	Groudon	Defeat Groudon.
	Luxray	Defeat the Amp Plains Tribes.
	Celebi	Finish the sixteenth chapter.
	Dusknoir	Defeat Dusknoir and finish the nineteenth chapter.
	Primal Dialga	Defeat Primal Dialga and finish the Main Story.
	Wigglytuff	Defeat Wigglytuff and the rest of the guild and graduate.
	Scizor	Find Scizor and finish Post-credits 1: The Secret Rank event.
	Manaphy	Finish the Manaphy event.
	Regigigas	Find Aegis Cave and defeat Regigigas.
	Darkrai	Defeat Darkrai and finish the Post-credits.
	Treasure Chest	Complete each of the Seven Treasures dungeons once.

Background Art

Each time the top menu gets loaded the game randomly selects one of three different illustrations to display on the bottom screen. The user interface is hidden while L is pressed so that the art can be admired in full.
