January 14, 2000 - Shiren 2, Magic Castle GBC, Torneko 2 the Card Game
The fifth installment of Mystery Dungeon is in development for release on the Nintendo 64. The tentative title is '64 Shiren the Wanderer. The sixth installment is also in development for release on the Game Boy Color. The tentative title is 'Shiren the Wanderer GB2'.[1]

The downloadable version of Windows Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer - Monster of Moonlight Village (PC/Internet Version) is now available. Thw downloadable game is a demo, that plays up until the player rescues Nagi. License keys are 1,575 yen including tax.[3]

Dragon Quest Characters: Torneko's Great Adventure 2 ~Mysterious Dungeon~ Original Soundtrack has released in Japan.[4][Citation needed]

The update kit Ver. 1.01.1 for Windows Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer - Monster of Moonlight Village (PC/Internet Version), which is currently being sold by DigiCube, has been made available on the Vector website (free of charge).[6]

Super Famicom Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer and Game Boy Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer GB - Monster of Moonlight Village have been added to the list of Rewritable Nintendo cartridges for August. Nintendo 64 Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion will be introduced at the Nintendo booth at the Next Generation World Hobby Fair from June 24 to 25. A special notebook with a Shiren 2 manga will be given out in limited quantities as well.[18][19]

Super Famicom Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer and Game Boy Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer GB - Monster of Moonlight Village have been added to the list of Rewritable Nintendo cartridges for August. The cost is 1,000 yen.[20][21]
July 14, 2000 - Shiren 2
Chunsoft has announced a reservation campaign for Nintendo 64 Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion. Players who pre-order at Loppi inside of "ローソン" stores across Japan will receive a Special Mamel Amulet.[22] Pre-orders begin on August 1. The official website has been updated with a beginner's dungeon course, along with information on the new system and monsters.[23]
July 28, 2000 - Shiren 2
Nintendo 64 Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion will make an appearance at Space World in August of 2000.[24]
The Shiren 2 Early Release Campaign will include a Mamel Cell Phone Stand.[25] The campaign will begin on August 1, 2000 at G-para.com and Pocket Gpara (i-mode). The game is currently set to release on September 27, 2000.[26]

Chunsoft is reportedly looking to hire new graphic designers.[45][46]
Chunsoft is currently holding a third giveaway in-a-row on their website. 200 people will receive a Shiren 2 Notebook, and 30 people will receive a Shiren 2 Mouse Pad. Players must fill out a Nintendo 64 Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 2 - Shiren's Castle and the Oni Invasion survey by November 8, with a max of 500 characters sharing their best "boast".[47][38]
Enix America has announced the release date for PlayStation World of Dragon Warrior: Torneko: The Last Hope as November 16.[48]
