Fragile Shield (Japanese: 使い捨ての盾), later known as Shoddy Heater ^{Level 4}, or Break-Off Shield, is a Shield in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. Fragile Shields debuted in Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995. Shiren 5 introduced 7 alternate shield levels, with level 4 being the Shoddy Heater. Not to be confused with the Level 6 Glass Buckler that also uses the name Fragile Shield in Shiren 5 for the Vita.

The Fragile Shield weakens with each hit the player takes.
