The Hide Shield (Japanese: 皮甲の盾) is a Shield in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer. It bears the (Hide) Rune. As it is made from leather, this shield cannot rust and is very lightweight. Combining this shield with others will not make them rustproof.

Because it is light, this shield reduces Fullness lost when walking.
Normal: 1 fullness each 10 turns
Hide Shield: 1 fullness each 20 turns.

Though it is very weak, the Hide Shield's seal is extremely useful and considered a necessity for any personal shield.

Tips For Use

Combine a shield with a Hide Shield in a Melding Jar to add the seal to the shield.
Melding a Hide Shield into an Armor Ward will remove the seal which caused fullness to decrease every 5 turns. Melding a second Hide Shield into the Armor Ward will add the seal, where fullness will decrease every 20 turns.
